From demo to live
A demo cannot be converted. The live account is created separately in the client area with its own number, password and server, and the terminal has to be pointed at it.

Decide the balance deliberately rather than accepting the default. If you plan to fund $200, practising on 10,000 virtual USD trains position sizes, margin use and pip values that will not apply to your real account.
Step by step
Create the demo in the client area, choose the platform and set the starting balance close to your intended deposit. Install MT4 or MT5, connect with the demo account number and select the demo server shown beside it.
If the terminal later shows a demo balance after you have funded a live account, it is still connected to the demo — the two are separate logins on separate servers.
What to check before you deposit
A demo will not tell you anything about withdrawals, verification or payment handling, because none of those exist on it. Those are exactly the areas where a first live account runs into friction, so treat demo success as evidence about your trading, not about the broker's operations.
Execution on a demo is also not a promise about execution on a live account at size. Use the demo to learn the platform and your own sizing, and keep expectations about fills modest.
